i'm back frm gold coast - the land of never-ending FUN! :)
sad to say..
i was super reluctant to leave..
though i have spent 8 big days there..
it felt like only 1 small day at the end of the trip! :(
time really flies when i was having loads of fun..
i sat down in front of the com..
and uploaded all the pretty pics i brought back with me..
and guess what..
i took 850 pictures during my 8D7N trip!!!!
can you believe it?!?!?
and thanks to myself..
it took me 3 days,
just to sort them out and piece them into collages, & uploading them.
but the feeling of going through those memories was great!
and since i really am quite bored..
why not?
i really must must promote this land of fun to everyone!
to all my lovely friends..
gold coast is da bomb!
well..i did spend hell lotsa money for this entire trip..
around $3K..
BUT BUT BUT..
this trip is totally worth the bucks!
not kidding!
akin to topshop, zara, forever21 lookalike..are cheap!
ok..the 1 & only expensive purchase was my gorgeous boots -$41.
anyway..out of point here..
the point is...
everybody gotta make a trip to gold coast!
must declare..
the australian govt did not pay me a single penny..
i'm simply doing free advertisement for them! :p

there is a theme..
and they will decorate the particular area to fit the theme!
i salute their effort! :)

ling & i could not conquer this..
though it's only 60m compared to dreamworld's 120m..
i still can't convince myself to attempt suicide!

wet & wild + paradise country!!
first sian issue..
it started raining when we went in :X
no sun = no tan
quite sian when 2 of the more fun rides were unavailable..

and all the rides..
i dun think i will ever patronise the jurong 1 anymore..
too unappealing and disappointing..

we walked a whole road of 1.5km into paradise country..

had a sumptuous lunch before proceeding on..
the kangaroos are really scared stiff!
all thanks to the intimidating CHINESE..
who were practically terrorising them..
throwing our face in the meanwhile..
i was utterly disgusted by them!

day 5:
tamborine mountain & booyong tree top nature walk!

finally reached our treetop nature walk!
as you can see..
i m really fascinated by the humongous trunks!

buttress roots are quite interesting too..
they come in different shapes & sizes & designs :p
and we finally arrived at the curtis waterfall..
but notice that the waterfall is not really magnificient?
it's due to drought, if i didnt rem wrongly..
sad to say..
it's really pathetic as a waterfall..
anyway..check out the muddy shoe print..
it's a total regret!
i'm such a smartie pants to use my bubblegum shoe to test the depth of the MUD
stupidity just overwhelmed me for that moment!
and after we left the treetop walk..
when we were heading towards the tamborine mountain..
i couldn't control but snapped random shots of the scenery on our way up..
it's really beautiful!
i was totally lost for words..
i kept repeating "it's really beautiful" to ling..
i think she shd be irritated..haha
then we turned lame and started singing..
"you're beautiful..you're beautiful it's true...."
and we stopped for a while for morning tea!
the scones..
they rock like crazy!!!
ALL OF US..
regretted not da-bao-ing the remainder..
we shd just be thick-skinned and grab the leftovers! :p

OUT OF THE WORLD!
with the secret recipe jam + savory uncreamy whip cream..
AWWWWW..
it's heavenly~
everybody missed it..even until NOW..
in the midst of such great enjoyment..
we didnt forget to visit the winery too..
got ourselves 3 different flavours of wine chocolates!
and all 3 are drop dead gorgeous!
and after morning tea..
we had the chance to learn how to use a whip!
i'm proud to say..
i'm the MOST PRO! :)
first and the 1 who cracked the whip the most!!
and very shortly after morning tea..
we had lunch at Spring Gully Stay!
it's their small guesthouse for small grp of tourists like us..
we are really PIGS..
non-stop meals..
the place is really cool..
lunch is awesome too!
i had to tk a shot with the fantastic cook!
he makes delicious steak, fish & chicken!
and we discovered a HUGE tennis ball..
which weighs like air! :p

after a hearty meal!
finally to tamborine!
the first "wah" discovery..
this aged big tree is hollow!
we actually went INTO the tree!
and we can actually look up and see through a hole.
how amazing can that be!

they are really fearless..
ramming past everyone like nobody's business!
and after we left tamborine..
more spectacular views ahead..
before we know..
we are already at O' Reilly's!
where all the parrots & turkeys await us!!

they left really deep marks on our hands..

day 6:
Tweed River Cruise + Pacific Fair Shopping!

when can you spot auntie michelle with her rubber face?!?!
and it's the serene pictures again..
don't you just hope that any 1 of these can be found in singapore?
i guess the best we can offer is reservoir
managed to capture our pelican company during the cruise..
and take a good look at our stopover!
really peaceful town..
like those in the movies..
with small shops, art gallery around the corners..
a tiny bar with slot machines for people to kill time..
and coz we had time to kill..
and were still missing our scone baby the day before..
we decided on a cafe along the street..
and had scones! :)
of coz..
no other scones can beat the 1 at tamborine..
nevertheless..the 1 here was quite tasty too..
after leaving the town..
guess what is in store for everyone..
the meal that everyone on board was looking forward to!
everyone but ME..
it was seafood mania!
prawns, crabs, crayfish, mussels, oysters...
even a non seafood lover me thought it looked tantalising!
and for the first time..
i had seafood!
tried all but oysters & mussels..
i must say..
they really don't stink at all!
meaning..fresher than ever!
and as shown in the picture above..i have really ballooned after 7 days of "out of the world" experience
dreamworld is unbelievably colourful & attractive!
you just feel like you enter dreamland!
guess that's how you are supposed to feel?
when you go to DREAMworld??
our first stop!

it's a brilliant move..
coz you know why?
it was so timely that we met spongebob and PATRICK!

ling & i were very useless bums..
coz we took kiddy rides! :S
so paiseh..
BUT..
we didnt take the blue skido..
which is like a merry-go-round..
after all the snapping of colours..
we must not miss our first show of the day!

i was such a kid la!
singing along and dancing & cheering with other kids!
well..
especially when patrick made his entrance! :p
just check out their candy houses..
i'm sorry..but candy houses is just my description..
i really can't think of more apt names!
just ONE look at them..
i feel like biting off their doors..
hahha
after all the cotton candies & sweetie houses,
we explored the fierce tiger dens!
all thanks to the kiasu crowd + an outdated camera..
i only managed to capture tiger cubs..
the white tiger is the man la!
not forgetting the original brown tiger..
(well..huini insists it's orange.)
they can perform astonishing stunts that made me go WAH throughout.
cuddily baby tigers..
tiger show lasted for quite a short period..
so after that..
we went to australian wildlife area!
getting all cosy with koalas & kangas :)
wei & ling took a photo carrying the koala..
nice experience!
but too ex for broken me at the end of day 7 :x
the kangas are top on my list!
they are unbelievably vain!! haha

after the softies..
now we proceed to the tough guy!

they are really BIG & intimidating!
at least they managed to scare the shit outta me..
just a glance can send shiver down my spine..

but what intrigued me was the sign put up!

think this was auntie michelle's first ride of the trip?
coz she had to accompany rachel..
and also coz she injured her neck..
and many rides specified that pple with weak necks are not allowed on it.
super wasted!

NOW..
time for the Big 5 presentation!
situated at the ocean parade..
we have vortex!
the lousiest of the big 5!
i suspect if it's 1 of them too..
it's just entering a spaceship and in it..
you will have zero gravity..
meaning you can sit perpendicular to the ground..
be like spidey..etc etc..
nothing thrilling actually..
just that it makes you dizzy & nauseous..
wei totally condemn this ride! haha
The Claw- definitely 1 of the Big 5!
according to wei..who conquered the Big 5..
the claw is ranked 3rd!
i was too scardy cat to tk the ride..
feeling tiny bits of regret now..
but on the other hand..
i might have escaped a round of heart attack!
you know..i have weak heart..haha
and there is Wipeout!
ranked 4th I suppose..
i took this though! :)
quite fun..
Cyclone is on next!
a ride that I am very proud of..
not coz it's thrilling..
it's not exactly..
but the area was super delicately done up!
they even install television which report on cyclones inside the building..
ultra impressed!!
last but not least..
the king & queen of the rides!
didnt manage to tk a picture of tower of terror coz it was so isolated..
anyway..wei ranked tower of terror FIRST!
followed by Giant drop..
the 2 rides are stuck together, back to back..
meaning they share the same 120m tall stick/rod/stand..
smtg similar too..
the giant drop is just a 1 way ticket up & a 1 way ticket down.
a no mercy, total free fall!
some took 2 screams, while some took in a deep breadth & only took 1!
as for tower of terror..
it's a super high speed coaster that sends you all the way vertically up,
perpendicular to the ground,
and just let down down backwards.
for this..
i really duno how to manage this..
1 scream or 2?
when to prepare? or no time to do so?
wei said it incredibly finished in 9 sec!
and he wanted to dupe me into taking it..
i was so glad i took my stand!
just scrutinize the pictures..
and imagine!
pure imagination is sufficient to scare the wits out of you!
a private collection coming up now..
ling & i went out of control..
couldn't help but secretly took a few shots of this hot bod! :p
he was 1 of the few who had nice looks & nice bod..
we really can't bear to let ourselves down..
so we just snapped! haha
after an entire day of immense fun!
time to bid dreamworld and gold coast goodbye..
at the end of this trip..i must congratulate & salute ling!
congrats dearie..
coz you managed to tk such a big leap forward..
and took SO MANY thrilling rides with us!
bermuda triangle, the looney tunes log ride, scooby doo ride,
lethal weapon, superman escape, wipeout, cyclone..
it's a great achievement babe!
and i salute you for the courage! :)
on the last night of the trip..
i walked through surfers' paradise & collected memories of my favourites!

bad timing..
coz i was already cleaned off all penny!
so it's purely window shopping along the beach!
it's tempting coz the products are all hand-made..
all so delicate & exceptionally exquisite!
it's a total seduction!
i was quite relieved i was cashless..
else would have spent a BOMB!
and it's pack-up time..
signifying end of dreamland..
returning to cruel reality :(
while packing and chatting..
we realised again that we didnt visit the beach!
how can we not visit the beach at gold coast?!?
So..we decided to pick up our lazy bones early nxt morning..
and make our way to the beach at 730am before we leave at 9am..
to catch some fresh air & enjoy the refreshing sea breeze at the beach!
and we actually managed to do so! :)

which looks extremely unfriendly & spooky..
and the wonderful sights early in the morning!
star jumps' compulsory at the beach!
especially when the sand is all smooth & soft..
and you get to experience the cool gentle breeze against you!
it's like free air-con!

i gained a new friendship bracelet during this trip :)
