i was still fretting over results yesterday..

in the midst of 2hr 45min pirates of carribbean show..

GREAT!

now i can enjoy to the max!

i really duno how to put my happiness and relief into words..

perhaps those high flyers might not understand my joy..

like..graduate with a pass? with shitty results??

first documentary movie!

yeah!
finally met up with mel & shirl for dinner + movies!


we were a little scammed yesterday though..


FIRST..

we realised we are watching the show at cinema europa, instead of a normal theatre.
then it turned out that the movie tickets were $10 instead or usual $7.50 on a wednesday!!
when we enquired abt the price, we were stunned down there at the ticket counter.
luckily the girl at the counter told us abt the $8 student price.
i think she was shocked by our candid reaction. haha
and probably didnt want to lose the 3 customers :p


i was so caveman that i started taking pic of the vivo GV..

it is HUGE!

much more grand-er than any other GVs..

much more than YISHUN especially!

and we tried to tk pic inside the theatre..


but failed.



anyway, SECOND..

the show we caught was a documentary!
$8 for a documentary!!
shirl & I thought Mel is so gonna strangle us.. haha
in the end, turned out mel enjoyed the show the most.
while shirl & I nearly dozed off in the boring midst of the documentary.



and on our way home, we wanted to tk more pictures (^0^)
unfortunately, the train was so crammed..
and people were staring at us like we were aliens :(
so limited editions yesterday..
we want MORE pictures!
the following time when we go out..
heck care all the sour grapes!! :p

my 21st last year was the bomb!
i simply love it.
hoping for an equally exciting one this year :)

ups & downs in life

So many things have happened in the past 1 week!
Not many actually.
But they are unforgettable incidents.
I lost my paternal grandfather last sat.
It was something unexpected.
I visited him 3 days before his death

& the nurse said that he was in stable condition.
And he just left.

It was the first time I saw dad cry.
The first time I saw grandma & aunt break down.
They had me broken down too.
Death comes. Eventually.
I can’t help but imagine what will happen should I lose my parents 1 day.
I didn’t want to think of it but it just kept bugging me.
I seriously think it will be hard to live on, to get over their deaths.

Although grandpa & I were not very close, sadness just overwhelmed.
Sad that he is lost forever.
Sad that he actually left with regrets.
I thought that was the most upset thing.
To die with regrets.

Part of me guessed he chose to give up his life to reduce the burden on us.
The other part of me thought he might have felt so tired to carry on.
Imagine lying on the hospital bed,
Incapable of anything,
Anything as simple as eating.
At the same time, head and throat slit, 5 tubes sticking out of you.
How much determination & how high must your threshold for pain be?
I seriously admire him for this.
I guess death might be the best way out for him.
Actually I would rather he be rid of all these pain and anguish.
He might be leading a better life now! :)

Jeremy went for lasik on thursday.
And he came back, feeling so much pain that I was dumbfounded.
First time that I saw him cry, out of pain.
I was stunned, brain-dead, didn’t know what to do to help.
And the best thing!
He just locked us out of his room, refused to tell us anything.
But he knocked on my door in the middle of the night to help open his eyedrop.
And I got 2 disgusting blisters coz of that.
Still in pain now!!!!
You gotta understand my threshold for pain is super low.
Curse the person who manufactured that bottle of eyedrop lo! :X
Anyway he went for his check-up next morning.
And thank god everything turned out fine.

GOSH!
Friday is the 1 & only day I came to work this week.
My temp job is a 3 week assignment.
And I didn’t go to work on the 2nd day, missed work for 4 days this week!!!
The first thing on my mind.

My boss is so gonna hate me! :X

At least if I were him, I would!
But lucky for me, he’s unlike me :)
All of them were very nice actually.
The first thing they asked was how I am feeling.
I was touched!
After lunch I telemarketed for a while before my boss came back.
Then he started asking how I was & stuff.

ended up entertaining me with all his hilarious pictures & videos. Haha
And he praised me! :p
He said I’m diligent!! hahahaha

(I hope it’s not part of cheering me up)
AND! He was up to his stupid match-making thing again.
Only know how to throw my face!

But guess what!

I’m going to get a farewell treat next fri! :)

YEAH!!
Actually I really owe all of them a big thank you for being so understanding.
Wonder if I will get friendly managers in my future jobs.
I love friendly superiors!:P

i'm back from cruiseeeee......

this particular trip was exceptionally FUN!

partly coz it was right after my final paper..

mainly coz of the fun-loving gang! :)

this time round..

we have the regulars : ling, choo yi, boon & wei..

and we have ONE new member..

not exactly new..but rarely join us..

he's none other than UNCLE DAVID HO! :)

he sure is the combination of the fun, joy & laughter elements!!

there is a new show- tropicalia!- combined with a magician show by an european family of 3!

ling & I fell in love with little junior- the informidable juggler + cutest guy on stage! =p

i must emphasize that ALL the brazilian dancers are sizziling hot~ *pssssk*

this time round..i didnt get so attracted to the food..but the activities!

uncle david seriously lined up exciting programmes for us!

some tempting pictures to attract non-cruisers!

there are lots of activities on board!

so worth an experience trip at least!!

we sang to our hearts' content, nearly exploding our lungs!

boon was the english pro! (ling insisted that he faked it :P)

wei was the hokkien veteran! (i totally agree)

ling was the chinese, mainly jay chou, miss know-all~

& fanny neo! the new-age canto-pop queen! YEAH

the best thing to complement the KTV session was tantalising RED WINE! *slurps*

everyone was super high! love it!!!

after that was "war-time"!!

after singing the hokkien-all-time-favourite "ai pia jia a ya"

all chiong into the casino! haha

NOPE..victorys & defeats were not finalised in the first night..no no...

the pool side bbq dinner on saturday night was as delicious as ever..

and mr & mrs ho went to catch a show by tsu nai lin frm taiwan..

i think all of us shd know who he is...

anyway the review was bad..according to mr & mrs ho..

we BINGO-ed after that!

nearly there..but some1 else were luckier to get the $210! :(

nonetheless....

without the money..

we still enjoyed ourselves coz uncle david was so entertaining!

he was so responsive and high..dancing the night away!

that's what i call young @ heart! :)

dancing was our forte!!

in the casino..in front of the jackpot machine..

uncle david, ling & I were busy dancing to the music of jackpot party and bonus free games..

we didnt realise the security guards & croupers were secretly laughing at us :X

i was wondering why she gave me hong bao..
and when i opened it..

there is a $10 aussie note..
later on she msg me and explained that she promised to give me her leftover aussie dollars..
and that was the only aussie money she was left with..haha
how sweeeettttt!

to all my dearest friends out there..
you guys must be sick of me bringing up my so many cousins everytime right!

they are so exceptionally nice to me!

that's why i love my cousins so much!

when i crave for suppers, wei will come and fetch me to supper..
when we go for late night movies.. wei will send me home..
when i just started playing mj, i always have 50% discount when i lose $$ + free bfast..
when i meet lili for dinners or lunches or breakfasts, even suppers! she will always treat me! :)
min always pay for my entrance fees when we go swimming a long long time ago :p
lunch was always on her aft swimming!
cheesy hotdogs & bubble teas on min and wei on weekends!
jan offered me a job when my contract ended with sharp then..
on top of that..still provide free transport and nearly accommodation..
lunches are always on jan when i date her in sch!
all my branded shoes + dresses + tops + bottoms are all contributed by jan!
